AONeuro Course - Interdisciplinary Skull Base Surgery

15 Oct 2014 to 17 Oct 2014

The course will offer a combined didactic and hands-on dissection program with additional focus on interdisciplinary management.  Participants will have the chance to work in a high-level equipped cadaver lab on special prepared human cadavers.

Didactic sessions will be focused on special 3D anatomy of the skull base as well as on concepts, strategies and modern techniques helping to deal with the most common pathologies in that area (tumors, vascular, trauma, etc.). Laboratory sessions will include the most common microsurgical as well as endoscopic approaches to that specific area. Dissections will be systematically guided (step-by-step) and will include presentation of the newest technical equipment and material available.

An international well-known faculty of high reputation in the field will lecture on their areas of expertise and lead laboratory sessions in a step by step manner. Special focus will be given to numerous case discussions where participants are encouraged to bring their own cases for discussions as well as cases are presented by the faculty.
