Welcome Note

Vladimir Hachinski.pngDear Colleagues:

Come to Marrakesh, a cultural, artistic and gastronomical capital.

Sir Winston Churchill was particularly taken by Marrakesh... “Here, surrounded by its extensive palm-groves that have sprung out of the desert, the traveler may rest assured that he will never tire of the majestic view of the snow-covered Atlas Mountains......” You may want to add extra days to your trip following the Sessions of the XX World Congress of Neurology to go exploring.

The speakers at the XX World Congress of Neurology have been selected not only for their expertise, but because they can convey the advances in their area to neurologists specializing in their field.

The Congress provides wonderful updates in all major areas of neurology and many opportunities for interaction.

The Program builds on the very successful Bangkok Congress with additional regional and continental dimensions, since this is the first World Neurology Congress held in Africa.

Concerns have been raised about the recent unrest in Africa. Not all countries are alike. Morocco is a stable monarchy that continues to be a popular tourist destination. Werner Hacke, Vice President of the WFN, spent several days recently in several cities in Morocco and reports a stable and business as usual atmosphere. Raad Shakir, Secretary General will visit this summer, so we will have up to date “on the ground” information.

No travel advisories have been issued by any country at any time and plans are going ahead as scheduled.

Come to Marrakesh and be part of a milestone scientific, cultural and social event!

Looking forward to seeing you in Marrakesh.

Best regards,

Vladimir Hachinski
President
