Due to the generous support of WCN, the International Working Group of Young Neurologists and Trainees (IWGYNT) were well represented at the recent World Congress of Neurology in Marrakesh with a booth at the congress.
Exhibiting alongside the European Association of Young Neurologists and Trainees (EAYNT), the world congress was an opportuntity for many young neurologists from around the globe to be informed on our activities. We were especially happy to welcome many visitors from Africa, Central- and South America.
A lottery draw was held during the last few days of the event - many congratulations to the winners!
In collaboration with EAYNT, a free workshop was organised and which was well attended. The workshop lead to interesting and active discussions among the young neurologists and its success will mean that we will try to have a similar session at the next WCN congress 2013.
Finally the young neurologists were thankful to be invited to visit the Neurology department of Professor Kissani, at the Department University Hospital Mohammed VI and Clinical and Experimental Neuroscience Laboratory, Marrakech Medical School, UCAM. The visit gave all who attended a fascinating insight into the neurology services in Marrakesh.
