Neurology® is the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology ⧉ and publishes peer-reviewed articles on issues in neurologic practice, education, and professionalism. It features original research, guidelines from the American Academy of Neurology, and in-depth reviews of topics in neurology.
As a leading clinical neurology journal worldwide, Neurology is directed to physicians concerned with diseases and conditions of the nervous system. The journal's purpose is to advance the field by presenting new basic and clinical research with emphasis on knowledge that will influence the way neurology is practiced.
The journal is at the forefront in disseminating cutting-edge, peer-reviewed information to the neurology community worldwide. The online version is considered the canonical version of the journal because it includes all content available to the reader. Contents appearing solely online include the Patient Page, CME Quizzes, Podcasts, and play-in-place video.

According to the Association of South East Asian Nations Neurological Association (ASNA) there are approximately three thousand neurologists in South East Asia and there is a need for the neurology fraternity within the region to meet and communicate more frequently in order to learn from one another, to solve the common problems and together develop neurology in the region.
Neurology Asia —formerly known as Neurological Journal of South East Asia—is the official journal of the ASEAN Neurological Association (ASNA) ⧉, the Asian & Oceanian Association of Neurology ⧉ (AOAN) and Asian & Oceanian Child Neurology Association ⧉ (AOCNA). The journal has been in publication for over 23 years.
The primary purpose is to publish the results of study and research in neurology, with emphasis to neurological diseases occurring primarily in Asia, aspects of the diseases peculiar to Asia, and practices of neurology in Asia (Asian neurology).
Neurology Asia is an open access journal.
