WFN – Italian Neurological Society (SIN): Department Visit Program in Italy

The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) and the Italian Neurological Society (SIN) are pleased to announce their partnership to invite two African colleagues to visit the Neurology Departments of the University of Naples and the University of Trento.

The Italian Neurological Society (SIN) was founded in 1907 and is the only Italian scientific Society specifically devoted to Neurology, with over 3000 active members out of the nearly 5000 practising neurologists in Italy. International relations promoted by SIN have been dedicated for several years to different and stimulating locations. Several important collaborations targeted to exchange information and promote joint projects have been started in rapidly-developing countries. Training programs, aimed at increasing the standards of neurological care, have been organised in several countries of the African continent.

The WFN was formed in Brussels in 1957 as an association of national neurological societies. Today WFN represents 120 professional societies in all regions of the world. The mission of the WFN is to foster quality neurology and brain health worldwide, a goal we seek to achieve by promoting global neurological education and training, with the emphasis placed firmly on under-resourced parts of the world.
